It's true! A common ingredient in commercial bread is L-Cysteine. It's normally obtained from China and is created from hair! Chinese companies use hair from humans and animals to make the junk.

For those who don't believe me I'd suggest you do a little homework and search L-Cysteine for yourself.

To the person below me%26lt;g%26gt;, it's used as a 'dough conditioner'. What it does is keep the dough from pulling back on itself before baking. A good example would be a pizza crust that you roll out to the edge of the pan and then pulls back a bit.

Bread is yeast risen. Human hair has lots of buggies that could culture out and spoil the yeast strains used in bread, so instead of USING human hair, the companies that bake bread go to EXTREME LENGTHS to not allow contaniments in the yeast strains they use.

I don't know who makes this crap up but they usually don't know squat about what they are trying to get people upset about.
