Can human hair extensions become damaged?

can human hair extensions become damaged from hair straighteners or curling irons?

Can human hair extensions become damaged?

Yep they get damaged, even more so cuz they're not getting the oils from your scalp like your own hair.

The only way to repair the damage is to have them trimmed and deep conditioned.

take good care of them to prevent further damage. Use a heat protectant, like Redken Smooth Down Heat Glide when you iron them and do weekly conditioning treatments either at home or in salon.

Can human hair extensions become damaged?

Yes, it's just like the hair attached to your head. It gets damaged just the same so take care of it.

Can human hair extensions become damaged?

Oh yes. They're not attached to the head anymore either, which makes them even more suceptable. Your scalp will not naturally coat hair extensions, so they're already dry, and they're not getting any nutrients from the scalp. Then if you use a flat iron on top of it, you're just roughing up the cuticle. Human hair extensions can last you a couple months if you take care of them, but if you wash them too much or use too much heat on them, they'll only last you a couple of weeks.
